How can I keep the faith?

Do I really believe?

This is a tough world we live in now. I know life has always been tough, but I think we have particular challenges now with a lot of our modern inventions and scientific discoveries.

Sometimes I feel like my faith is under attack from every direction.

Today I was watching the news, and a guy was interviewed who just wrote a book about David and Goliath. We all know that story, which is a great story about how the underdog can come out on top, and how even those of us who are little can stand against the big guys and prevail if God is with us.

Well, this guy was saying that after further study, he figured out that David didn’t just have a simple slingshot, he had a very powerful weapon, and that Goliath was a big dumb oaf with a brain tumor (or something like that).
